a passport that’s also a branding tool

My new passport arrived the other day.  The cover hasn’t changed much since the last one, but inside it’s gorgeous.

I hadn’t realised just how comprehensively the design had been changed two years ago and I spent ages oohing and ahhing over each page.

The main ‘stamp here’ pages include illustrations of classic UK scenes from beach huts, country cottages and village greens to the white cliffs of Dover, alongside all kinds of native animals and plants, plus some cute met office style weather symbols.  It gave me a real London2012-style surge of national pride.

But I suspect all this lovely design work is not really aimed at me.  Every little helps and anything that reinforces Brand GB/UK overseas in a positive way can only be a good thing.
