a spoonful of Stiles and Drewe

I went to see a fab musical version of Peter Pan in Leeds over Christmas and as a result I’ve become a fan of the composers Stiles and Drewe, who also adapted Mary Poppins for the stage.
Their greatest hits charidee CD a Spoonful of Stiles and Drewe was soon winging it’s way to me via Amazon and it contained the rather fabulous cabaret piece a little bit of nothing (on a big white plate). Anyone who has ever spent more than they really should have on a meal out will enjoy it. A slightly dated and fuzzy video version is here on the hideously designed Stiles & Drewe website (you need to scroll waaaay down to the lurid green section) or you can get hold of the CD here and here.

PS Hope your New Year’s Eve was fun. I spent mine with 6 vets, a farmer and a helicopter pilot. If nothing else, I now know how to safely sedate a wild boar…
