A few pointers for workshop participants
Reflecting on workshops I’ve run or attended in the last few months, it appears that as well as the usual ‘mobiles off’ and ‘green light thinking’ reminders, we need to add some more pointers for workshop participants:

No Crackberrying during workshops. Ever.

Its is not OK to sit quietly all day and only pipe up to disagree (forcefully) after the summing up session at the end of the day.

Female facilitators are not bossy, they are merely keeping the session running smoothly. If we were men with grey hair you’d say we had gravitas.

If we’re going to be working on a marketing plan for your brand, it would help if you had some kind of business plan in place first.

A ten minute coffee break does not mean that you can disappear off the face of the earth for the next 30 minutes.

If you all talk at once I can’t hear you – and I’m the one holding the marker pens.
